My name is Lucia, and I’m a knitter.

Born to graphic designer parents in South Africa, I grew up in a household that encouraged me to make an unholy crayon-filled mess which eventually led me to start getting creative with my Barbie’s outfits. I would put on shows for my parents, and now, looking back on it, I think it was inevitable for me to find a love for fashion design.

Strangely enough, I wasn’t overly keen on knitting when my grandmother set me in front of a pair of needles on a visit back home – I was more interested in playing with her dogs. It was only towards the end of high school that I revisited those slightly bent, green plastic size 6 needles and fell in love…
